Hahndorf was never in a bucket list or even in our knowledge of travelling. Hahndorf simply happened after a google search on what to do in Adelaide as a day tour. We had one whole day to be spent on something useful and that is when we decided to go on one of those organized tours. We didn’t have our own vehicle or trusted instincts to go out on our own, so we opted for the tour. The major part of it, was this little German Village. The tour covered Mount Lofty, a strawberry farm, a city tour as well.
While Hahndorf didn’t give us a lot of details to write about, what made the place special was because of the “German Feel” it guaranteed. It is definitely a good way to spend an evening, walking through the street, picking up a few souvenirs and enjoying food and drinks, the German style. I had the best burger in my life at one of the little eateries over there! If you love wine, then you get to taste wine for free, at one of the barn-styled wine shops. This little village will surely give a relaxing day off, a heavy tummy and a whole lot of pictures with unique architecture as the background.
