Bali – Staying at Hotel Le Grande

As much as we planned it to be a budget trip where focus was to cover Bali, we wanted to have a 5 star experience during our last two days. Therefore, after much research on Agoda on a Bali Hotel, and aligning with our travel itinerary, we picked a place with little knowledge. All what we went by was the appealing pictures listed in the Agoda deal itself.

It was a wonderful choice!

We were amazed at the facilities it had, for the price we paid. Most noteworthy, the place was full of beautiful architecture, packed with little gardens at every corner possible. Hence, Le Grande clearly was a great pick in our Bali hotel category.

The Hotel

Located in the heart of Uluwatu, Le Grande Bali is an ideal location to cover all attractions of South Kuta. In addition, it is very close to the Shopping capital within about 10 Km and the airport is just 40 minutes away.  If you are a golf lover, it is even better because this is actually a Golf Resort. For non golfers like us, the course makes a beautiful backdrop for the hotel entrance and the pool area.

Rooms

We got ourselves a deluxe room, which is equipped with basics, over sized bed, Claw foot bath tub, and a balcony with a little sofa outside to enjoy fresh air. You also get a pool separated to the rooms in the particular building (There are 4 buildings). Your room gets a daily feed of tropical fruits as well.

Little Nan Yang Restaurant, Is the main restaurant of the hotel where buffet meals are served daily. You also have the option to pick from the Ala carte menu. Our pick for the day was a Mee gorang dish and a Egg Noodle soup. The customary Prawn crackers are served prior to the dinner along with barbecue sauce and vegetables. The food tasted authentic, satisfying our taste buds.

The Spa

Listed in Bali Spa Guide, Le’Spa is known for it’s relaxing experience in Jimbaran area. We preferred to have our Spa experience in the hotel itself as travelling elsewhere seemed like a hassle. Anyway, after a good old massage, you just want to go back to the room so, what else would be better!

We opted for the Balinese Boreh, which costs IDR 800000/=. It is a couple package, which is a traditional herbal scrub that helps relieve muscle aches and increase blood circulations. We were treated to a cup of tea at the beginning. Can recommend this place as it is worth for the money you pay and they have set a beautiful atmosphere. Due to timing issues, we booked the last slot, which was 8.00 pm. During the day time, you can enjoy the beautiful garden right outside while you get the Spa treatment.

Leisure Activities

The hotel provides many recreational activities, specializing for golf.  Cycling, tennis, billiard, swimming, Yoga sessions and morning walks are few of them. The hotel provides free shuttle services to visit Uluwatu temple and Dreamland beach.
